SUSTAINABLE. FUTURISTIC. RESILIENT.
Global City’s design prioritizes sustainability, self-sufficiency and resilience through low-carbon infrastructure, public transportation systems, use of renewable energy, design of energy-efficient buildings and recycling and reuse of waste and wastewater. The project aims to meet the needs of the present generation without compromising the needs of future generations.
Expansive Road Network to Ensure Efficient Traffic Flow
The well-planned road network at Gurugram Global City is organized according to a hierarchy of road topologies to ensure efficient traffic flow. At the top of the hierarchy is a 60m arterial loop that serves as the main traffic conduit within the development. This is complemented by 45m sub-arterial roads, 30m primary distributor/collector roads, 18m secondary distributor/collector roads, and 13.5m/12m/9m access streets, enabling easy access to different parts of the development.
Intra Global City MRTS for last mile connectivity
Experience sustainable and efficient travel within Global City with an approx. 6 km length state-of the art Intra Global City Mass Rapid Transit System (MRTS). 80% of the residential and commercial regions within the City are located within a 5-minute walking radius of the 6 stations of the MRTS, while further connectivity to the rest of Gurugram is provided through an interchange station connecting the Intra Global City MRTS with the Gurugram-Manesar-Panchgaon MRTS.

Common Utility Tunnels:
Keeping in view the vision of realizing a world class and future ready city, common utility tunnels have been provided to accommodate utilities such as potable water, recycled water, electrical distribution, telecom/ data, solid waste management (AWCS), firefighting etc. in a planned manner and so as to provide for means of future expansion/ provisioning without having to dig up the road infrastructure for maintenance and repairs.
ICT Infrastructure for ensuring smart governance
The ICT Infrastructure of the Global City Project has been designed to ensure efficiency in operations, effective monitoring, transparency and a seamless and integrated services delivery mechanism. The ICT infrastructure includes city surveillance systems, intelligent traffic and parking management systems, SCADA systems for utilities, smart lighting, multi-service digital kiosks, environmental monitoring systems, and an Integrated Command and Control Center amongst others.
Uninterrupted Availability of Power Supply
The Global City Project offers uninterrupted power supply through dedicated power stations integrated with SCADA to meet the peak power demand of 646 MVA. The Global City is also at the forefront of sustainable energy practices and committed to a cleaner, greener future. All buildings within the City are to be certified green buildings, and the daily energy needs of the City are predominantly met through renewable energy systems such as solar farms, solar streetlights etc.
Sustainable Water Management Systems
Abundant 24*7 water supply meeting the benchmarks of water quality and pressure is available across the city. Water for the City is sourced from the GWS Canal in village Basai approx. 4.5 kms away and IMT Manesar approx. 11 kms away and keeping in view the need for preservation of water the City focusses on total water management and water recycling to reduce freshwater requirement. Wastewater is 100% treated with tertiary treatment systems and used for non-potable and non-contact uses. The Global City also has 100% coverage of sewerage network and is a Zero Discharge City.
A tranquil and meticulously designed freshwater lake within Global City serves as both a water storage reservoir/ aqua sponge to meet the needs of the City and as a vibrant cultural district for the City.
Waste Management System
With the objective of managing waste (commercial, medical, horticultural and municipal) generation, storage, collection, transportation, treatment and disposal in accordance with best principles of public health, economics, engineering, aesthetics and other environmental considerations, a 3R – Reduce, Reuse and Recycle based system has been designed. The system makes use of an automated vacuum waste collection system to transport waste at high speed through underground pneumatic tubes to a collection station where it is compacted and sealed in containers
